Recalling the musical roots of his homeland Rumania, his music is rich of beautiful melodic arcs and melancholy harmonies. He uses for some numbers the rarely encountered six-string fretless guitar, which gives him unlimited scope for scales and violin-like performance techniques. The results are long, wistful speaking and singing tones. Erlend Krauser music means natural-feeling guitar music that flirts with jazz, but without artificial virtuosity.
The warm and smooth guitar sound of Erlend Krauser is the uniting element. "Erlend´s guitar music here is extremely light and tuneful in the vein of The Shadows or Fleetwood Mac (yes, a version of ALBATROS is included) but with a slight jazzy modern styling.
