A sound picture, the size and power of surrealistic monumental work. For 48 minutes and 44 seconds computer musician Heinz Leonhardsberger and singer (singer? - No, a new occupation description must by all means be found for a vocal artist like him) Johann Jascha burst open all those doors on which their compatriot Sigmund Freud has cautiously tapped.
The listener may(must!!!) not believe his ears. Dadaism, radio gagaism and Zappaism provide bo basis for evalution. "It Is" is a total work of art on which it is probably scarcely possible to pass definitive judgement after merely one listening. From the style and technical production point of view it compels the listener to question fondly acquired listening standards.
Heinz Leonardsberger is living in Vienna.
Press reviews:
"I´m not sure to describe this concoction of synthesizer pulsations, occasional guitars and organ, plus some of the most eccentric vocalizing I´ve heard this side of Zappa´s craziness. It does all fit together however into one conceptual sound that´s completely unique and perfect for those who like the stranger variants of new music." - Eurock/ USA 6/8
