The Cologne electronic project - NEUROMANTIC TRANCE - has existed since 1995. It dares to connect two apparently irreconcilable musical elements on its CD White Neck - Gentle Lamb.
On the one hand, the archaic, mystical, folk worldbeat customs of the Bulgarians, interpreted by the singer
DIANA DEMIREVA, and on the other hand, the Trance-, Ambient- und Trip Hop soundscapes of the electronic musician KAI LIEKENBRÖCKER. This synthesis bursts open traditional forms, yet at the same time supports the sensitive nature of the lyrics.
In this way multidimensional music is created, in which for one hour all sense of time stops. The Cologne musician and producer KAI LIEKENBRÖCKER began his musical career in 1988 after finishing his classical music studies with the pop band FURY IN THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE.
Soon after he was to make a name for himself in the legendary CAN-Studio through his work as a recording engineer, keyboarder and producer, which led to his dedicating himself to electronic music. Of course the hours spent working together with the CAN-musicians and founders
HOLGER CZUKAY and
JAKI LIEBEZIET strongly influenced and formed his musical style.
