Passion for Arcadia Several journeys led this Hungarian through Asian cultural circles, and in particular to India. Impressed with the lifestyle and culture of this huge country, in 1981 he founded the "Gayan Uttejak Society" in Budapest.
Among other things, a recording studio and an extensive ethnological collection of Indian music are a part of this society. This collection served him as a store of knowledge and inspiration for his musical journeys to imaginary cultures, to the primeval times of our exitence.
In 1991 this became a part of his debut CD to "Amygdala", now he has a passion for "Arcadia"; a land where we can believe that everything is in harmony, where people are happier and not afflicted with as many problems as the people of today.
One should definitely let the exotic names of the musicians and the recording locations take their influence before allowing themselves to be guided to the archaic roots of ritual music. The further into Arcadia this music leads, the deeper it leads us into ourself, and with it, the impression that Arcadia is nothing more or less than a condition that we desire is strengthened. Arcadia is lost in time, no path leads back. Wherever we may travel, what remains of our journey is our imagination.
